EAGLE PASS, TX - The Biden Administration took a hit on Monday when a U.S. district judge ordered a temporary halt of cutting razor wire along the Rio Grande river, which was put into place by Texas to stop illegal immigrants in their attempts to enter the country.
The federal government had been removing the wire as a response to Governor Greg Abbott's attempt to prohibit illegals from crossing the river.
Judge Alia Moses issued the temporary restraint against the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in their plan to remove the Texas barrier at the Mexican border.
Those entities are now prohibited from "disassembling, degrading, and tampering," according to Moses' ruling in the injunction against the federal government.
In her brief, Justice Moses wrote, "The court shall grant the temporary relief requested, with one important exception for any medical emergency that mostly likely results in seriously bodily injury or death to a person."
The restraining order was in response to a request by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. A hearing is scheduled for November 7th in relation to the border razor wire obstacle.
Paxton's office filed a suit against the Biden Administration in their attempts to remove the concertina wire that was in place at Eagle Pass along the Rio grande.
This portion of the Rio Grande River has seen a large contingent of migrants passing through unchecked. Governor Abbott had instructed that the wire be placed as a deterrent to the daily volume of illegals coming across that section of the US Mexican border.
AG Paxton claimed in the lawsuit that the federal government, utilizing CBP, was destroying state property and helping to assist illegal migrants in entering the us.
The barrier wire was put in place by the National Guard and members of the Texas state troopers for a second time after the feds previously removed it.
CBP has a proud history of serving this country in maintaining the U.S./Mexican border against illegal entrances. However, according to Paxton's office, the Biden Administration has utilized the entity to help assist illegal immigrants gain entrance into the US by circumventing the concertina wire.
Over the last couple of years, Texas has installed barrier wire along much of the border in response to Biden's opening entrance into the U.S. freely by migrants from other countries in addition to Mexican natinoals.
Over 70,000 rolls of concertina has been put in place along the border.
The November 7th hearing in Moses's courtroom is just one of many legal cases that the Texas governor has with the Biden administration.
Justice Moses was appointed by President George W Bush to the bench in Western Texas.
Although the the border is normally under the protection and administration of the federal government, Texas has responded through use of their National Guard in dealing with the rise of illegal activity happening along the border.
Abbott has allocated over $4 billion in safeguarding citizens from illegal entry and dealing with the rising drug issues and other crimes in that area.

They also used a fork lift to lift up a section so illegals could come underneath. Not sure if that was prior or after this ruling. I suppose they might try to argue that they were not "cutting". So, TX is placing shipping containers as a wall.
