WASHINGTON, DC – During Halloween weekend, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were reportedly busy across the country in an effort to apprehend what the current administration has dubbed as “the worst of the worst” criminal aliens residing within the country. Following the numerous enforcement operations over the weekend, Homeland Security also shared a concerning statistic regarding the number of illegal aliens with criminal histories who’ve been apprehended recently.
As the mission to apprehend the “worst of the worst” carries on, Homeland Security revealed the alarming reality of the criminality encompassing those who’ve been arrested by ICE, noting that 70 percent of arrestees have either been charged or convicted of a crime in the United States.
A few examples of these sorts of criminal illegal aliens were among those apprehended by ICE over Halloween weekend, such as Sisawang Khambounheuang who had a prior conviction out of San Diego for unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and Milton Rene Mendez-Arevalo who had a conviction out of Los Angeles for kidnapping. Convicted Colombian burglar out of Ventura, Michael Steven Arevalo-Suarez, was also rounded up over the weekend.
Immigration enforcement operations in Houston over the weekend netted over 120 arrests, with convicted pedophile Hector Eugenio Ramirez-Martinez, from Honduras, and domestic violence perpetrator Francisco Nava-Garcia, from Mexico, being among those taken into custody. Kunal Chhetri is another individual with a conviction out of Texas that was apprehended by ICE, with the Indian immigrant having been convicted of alien smuggling in federal court.
Out in Florida, ICE apprehended Lazaro Mateo Ruiz, from Cuba, who harbors convictions dating back to the early 1990s which include second-degree murder, grand theft, robbery and burglary. Additionally, ICE apprehended Juan Gomez-Gutierrez, from Colombia, who was previously convicted in Tampa for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute five kilograms of cocaine while aboard a vessel.

- Jonnathan Ocampo-Marquez, an illegal alien from Honduras, who was previously convicted of attempted armed robbery with a dangerous weapon out of North Carolina
- Juan Brito-Rios, an illegal alien from Mexico, who was previously convicted of possession/distribution of heroin and cocaine and money laundering in Tennessee
- Brigidio Ovido Gomez Garcia, an illegal alien from Guatemala, who was previously convicted of aggravated domestic battery/strangulation, domestic battery, and DUI out of Illinois
- Wilson Campos, an illegal alien from Brazil, who was previously convicted of simple assault out of New Jersey
- Ricardo Rafael Cordoba-Bolivar, an illegal alien from Venezuela, who was previously convicted of retail theft out of Illinois
