'He's given us all a voice': LET's owner to be inducted in the National Law Enforcement Officer Hall of Fame

The National Law Enforcement Officer Hall of Fame was established in 2017 by Megan Stockburger and Adam Davenport with the intent of recognizing those in law enforcement who go "above and beyond in one way or another in the line of duty." They also honor law enforcement supporters who have shown excellence in service to law enforcement personnel.

This year, Law Enforcement Today's very own owner, Kyle Reyes, is set to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and honored with the Civilian Service to Law Enforcement Award.

“It brings us great joy to highlight the courageous men and women in law enforcement” said Stockburger. “It is important that we shine a light on a side of law enforcement that we often do not get to hear about. The amount of nominees from over 39 states proves how much this recognition is needed for these officers. We owe them a huge debt of gratitude for standing the line between good and evil on our behalf.”

The induction ceremony will take place in Fort Worth, Texas on March 22, 2024. Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn will be the emcee during the event.

“Sheriff Waybourn welcomed us to Texas with open arms, he truly is a law enforcement leader,” said Stockburger.

Davenport, added, “There is a giant need to acknowledge and support these men and women of law enforcement, because they are willing to put their life on the line for complete strangers every single day.”

Dave Bray USA will be the musical guest at the ceremony.

Also being inducted are the following:

  • Kimber Gist – Berkeley County (SC) Sheriff’s Office for the Courage in Service Award
  • Wesley Smigielski – Coloma Township (MI) Police Department for the Courage in Service Award
  • Karli Travis – Middletown (CT) Police Department for the Courage in Service Award
  • Derrick Diggs - Posthumous, Toledo (OH) Police Department / Fort Myers (FL) Police Department for the Founder's Award
  • K9 Kitt – Posthumous – Billy Cushing – Handler, Braintree (MA) Police Department for the Fox + Hound K9 Foundation K9 Hero Award Jeffry Heath – Wicomico County (MD) Sheriff’s Office for the School Resource Officer of the Year Award

The LET staff would like to congratulate all the inductees, especially Kyle Reyes. We are honored to serve alongside a man who is Back the Blue through and through and a true patriot!
